1910 US Census - Peter Travland and Thomas Travland.

Here is the 1910 US Census for Ole and Mari Finnestad's grandson, Peter Andrew Travland, wife Hannah and their son Lawrence (line 70 - 72) living in Bee County, Texas. The image has been smeared, but living a few houses away (lines 79 - 84) was Peter's younger brother, Thomas Tobias Travland, wife Stella and their children, Ernest, William, Louis and Lillie. The three Travland brothers all lived within a short distance of each other in Bee County; yesterday I posted the 1910 Census for their older brother Ole Travland. Peter was the second son (and third child) born to Iverdine (Finnestad) and Lewis Joseph Peterson Travland.    Thomas was the third son (fourth and final child) born to Iverdine and Lewis.

1910 US Census - Ole Travland

Here is the 1910 US Census for Ole and Mari Finnestad's grandson, Ole John Travland, wife Susan Eola (Sikes) and their son, Lawrence, living in Bee County, Texas. Ole and Susan married in 1907 and I've not been able to locate the 1900 Census for Ole who may have been living as a boarder with another family that year. Ole was the first born child of Iverdine (Finnestad) and Lewis Joseph Peterson Travland.

1910 US Census - Ragna Nelson

Following the death in 1900 of his wife Clara Knutson, Edward Nelson married the widow Alma Anderson. Clara and Edward's daughter, Ragna, was living with the new family, along with Alma's children from her previous marriage - Pearl, Grace, Ethel and Roy. By the time of the 1910 US Census, the 6 year marriage of Edward and Alma produced three more children - Edward Jr, Esther and Olga.

1910 US Census - Truman Johnson

In 1910, Ole and Mari Finnestad's great grandson Truman Johnson was still living with his aunt and uncle. His sister, Lillie had moved out and was living with her new husband, Frank Wright and their father was living nearby.

1910 US Census - Lillie (Johnson) Wright

By the 1910 US Census, Ole and Mari Finnestad's great granddaughter, Lillie Johnson had married Frank Wright and moved from Cylinder, Iowa to Emmetsburg, Iowa.

1910 US Census - Lambert Johnson

Not much had changed for Andrea (Knutson) Johnson's husband, Lambert, from 1905 to 1910 when the US Census came out . He was still living with the family of Ida Govig in Cylinder, Iowa.

1910 US Census - Elabata (Ella) Bertina Vallem

In 1910, Ole and Mari Finnestad's granddaughter, Ella was living (line #79) with husband George Olson and their first son, George Jr in Milan township, DeKalb County, Illinois. Ella was the daughter of Rachel (Finnestad) and Lewis Vallem.

1910 US Census - Isabel Josephine (Vallem) Hall

Here is the 1910 US Census for Ole and Mari Finnestad's granddaughter, Isabel Josephine Hall, her husband Ole and son Oral. They were living in Malta Township, DeKalb County, Illinois during the 1910 census. Isabel Josephine Hall was the daughter of Rachel and Lewis Vallem.

1910 US Federal Census - Ole Alfred Knutson

In 1910, Ole and Mari Finnestad's grandchild, Ole Alfred Knutson resided at the Watertown State Hospital in East Moline, Illinois. Ole is listed as entry #60 (10th down). Ole Alfred was the son of Elizabeth and Ole Andreas Knutson. The Watertown State Hospital for the insane opened on May 16, 1898. You can read more about the institution here . Here is what Watertown State Hospital looked like. In 1900 , Ole was living still living with his family, so he was admitted to the hospital sometime between 1900 and 1910.

1910 US Federal Census - Mary Olson

Mary Olson lived in Fairfield Township, Palo Alto County, Iowa during the 1910 census. Along with husband Stephen, their children were son's Orville, Elmer, Stanley, William, Olaf and daughters Marnie and Bernice. The census indicates Mary had 7 children, all of which were living in 1910. This conflicts with the information provided on the 1900 census. (Mary was the daughter of Elizabeth Knutson, the eldest daughter of Ole and Mari Finnestad)

1910 US Federal Census records - Rachel Vallem

Here is the 1910 US Federal Census I have for the remaining child of Ole and Mari, Rachel (Rakkel) Vallem. Rachel was widowed by 1910 and living in Alto Township, Lee County, Illinois with her son, Ole and Elmer & daughters Linnie Rebecca, and Iverdena (listed as D Anna). Rachel's brother, Ole Finnestad Jr and family were living in the same township. Living next door was Rachel's eldest son Peter, his wife Lena and their children, Lawrence, Perry, Lucille and Lena. As I stated in an earlier post, I was unable to locate Ole and Mari's daughter, Mary and her 1910 census record. If I come across it, I'll post it.

1910 US Federal Census Records - Elizabeth Knutson

In 1910, Ole and Mari Finnestad's eldest daughter, Elizabeth and her husband, Ole Andreas Knutson were living in Flagg township, Ogle County, Illinois. Also living with them at the time was Elizabeth's younger sister, Sarah. A grandson is listed by the name of Albert Johnson who was 11 at the time of the census, born in Iowa. I have not been able to locate his parents names and proceed with locating all of the descendants of Elizabeth and Ole Knutson as of this post. If I do, I will be updating the Finnestad family tree spreadsheet.
